This time of year, when the clocks change and it becomes dark at 4:30, I find myself caught between two worlds. Part of me longs for those long, hot summer days, the ones that stretch lazily into warm evenings where everything feels a little easier. At the same time, I’m leaning into the coziness of the season we’re in now, the slower pace, the quiet, and the comfort that comes with early nights and warm lights.
Falling Light feels like a good representation of that balance. It is a mixed-ferment saison built from a blend of beers averaging eight months in age, then conditioned for an additional four months on Lapin cherries from Maxwell Acres. It carries both the brightness of summer fruit and the depth and calm of winter settling in, a beer made for this exact moment.
