La Rosa - 5.6%

I’ve always been drawn to the aroma of rose. I’m not sure if it reminds me of my grandmother or some other distant memory that’s long since faded, but there’s something deeply nostalgic about it. Capturing that delicate essence in beer is tricky. It can easily become overpowering or distracting if not handled with care. La Rosa is a blended, mixed fermentation saison. Part of the batch was aged on rose hips for four months before being blended with a bit of Autumn Bridge, which adds a subtle fruity, herbal depth. To bring out the floral side, I brewed a tea with rose petals and gently dosed it into the bottling tank. The result is a beautifully balanced beer, softly floral, gently fruity, and a true expression of everything the rose can offer.
